2 oxygen sensors? no o2 bung on header...OBD2B to OBD1 ?!?!??!?!!?
Hi, I encoutered a problem and i wanted to know what you guys think...
1st off... I have a 2000 GSR
2nd.... I bought a Greddy header
3rd... It has no o2 bung on the header...
And finally, I bought a Boomslang OBD2B to OBD1 conversion harness and a GSR chipped P06 from ECU tuning in Montreal...
Now my problem is...I have 2 oxygen sensors but only one bung to put them in...will I need to drill a hole on the header and have a bung welded to it...or...can I just sacrifice an oxygen sensor and put the primary one in the high flow cat without drilling on the header?!?!??!?!?!

Ok, so I can just unplug it from the factory wiring (under the car) and just forget about it? Would there be a messup with the reading if the Oxygen sensor is at the back of the high flow cat?
And, I think the header is for a 94-99 GSR...so if I buy a 94-99 GSR cat-back and a 94-99 GSR high flow cat, everything is going to be perfect right? Sorry for the noobie question...I just want to make sure that's all!

Put the primary O2 in the cat. If the O2 bung is in the back of the cat, then you will have to have a bung inserted either on the header or the front of the cat. Otherwise, get a OBD1 cat.

yeah, if you get all 94-99 stuff it'll work. the 94-99 cat will have the o2 bung in the correct spot (before the cat material).

First, I assume your purchased a Greddy "GS-R" header, which was made for a '94-'99 GS-R. These cars use a shorter exhaust manifold, and the O2 sensor(s) are located in the cat.
If you are trying to bolt this header to a '00 GS-R, it is going to be too short unless you modify the exhaust B-pipe or use some sort of custom cat or extension. You can install the primary O2 in the cat, but make sure that it is positioned before the catalyst material. As for the secondary, you can keep it or eliminate it, since the OBD-1 ECU will not be looking for it.
