Default Amp wont shut off

when i hooked up my deck i ran all of the wires to my trunk which was awhile ago. so i just bought a system with some christmas money i got everything hooked up n i went to listen to music the amp wouldnt turn on. so i changed the remote wire and the amp turned on but when i shut the car off the amp remained on so now it is hooked up to a toggle switch. i dont like it hooked up to the toggle switch so i want it hooked back up to the deck so why is my amp not shutting off. i need serious help because i have put alot of money into my stereo

Run the blue or blue/white wire from the deck to the remote terminal on the amp.

When it's hooked up to the deck, whenever the deck is on, the amp will be on. If you want the amp to turn on/off with the engine, hook up the amp's remote to the ignition wire.

If the amp control lead on HU is N/G, [for whatever reason] connect the amps control lead with the HUs acc. lead, [red]. amp will turn on and off when cars ign. is turned on and off. 94

If the HUs amp control lead output, or the lead itself is damaged, you will need to have it repaired, however a simple solution is the just ignore the HUs amp control and connect the amps control lead, [lead running from HU to amp control input] along with the HU acc. lead, [red] to the stock radio harnesses acc. lead, [probably a white W/yellow or blue stripe 86-98 Honda/Acura] or if you are using a harness adapter, then connect HU acc., [red] and amp turn on lead to adapters acc., [also a red lead] that way the amp is only on if your ign. switch is in acc. or the run positions. 94

There is a specific wire on your headunit that you wire your amp remote wire to. If it is not functioning for some reason then you just wire the amp remote wire to the headunits accessory lead, the red wire, and then the amp will turn off when the car is turned off and the amp will turn on when the car is on.

Don't just leave it on a toggle switch. It is an easy fix. If you can't use the remote turn on lead then just use the radio acc. like FCM told you to do. Because there will be a time that you forget to turn of the amp and you will end up with a dead battery.

If you have the harness adapter the lead you need is the red one, the same one the HUs red is connected to. 94
