in my civic i have the y7 to y8 conversion and its automatic. i keep getting an error code P0740, which is the torque converter circuit malfunction. i want to avoid replacing the tranny for the time being. can i switch out the torque converter from a EX y8 tranny or is this something thats going to affect the whole transmission and needs to be swapped??????

 

try that, and if it doesnt work than take it to a shop
