Anybody know a good source for stock clutch and axles?
I searched and checked the FAQs but I didn't see anything.
I'm looking for a stock ITR clutch and front axles for my SIR2 swapped Civic because it has the optional LSD tranny which is the same as the Type-R tranny.
Of course, it's a JDM swap so my usual sources like Manchester Honda and Majestic Honda don't carry them and they don't carry Acura specific USDM parts either.
Are there any US Acura dealers that offer good prices on stock parts like the places I mentioned above do for Honda parts?
Am I better off just going to the local Acura dealer?
Will remanufactured axles from the local AutoZone be just fine for a stock engine?
Thanks

If you go to Advance, Auto Zone..etc some offer lifetime warranties on their axles so if a cv boot rips you just have to tke the axle off and they replace it for free.
Good to know but are they any good?
Even if they are free I don't want to be swapping them out every year.
Anybody else have any info to help a brotha out?

OEM Clutch I'd try either King Motorsports or Baranco Acura
I'd steer clear of the Autozone axles - I've had issues with them (with the remanufactured ones at least). Napa sells NEW replacement axles with a lifetime warranty - I haven't had any issues with the one I bought through them.

read too many horror stories about auto zone and advance auto axles. Most crap out shortly after they are installed.
When my oem ones went out i called the dealer and it was somethign like 400 a piece for remans from acura. Read up about my other options and ended up going with raxles.com. They have served me well i would say they are equal to oem quality and have amuch better price tag. Call raxles and talk with marty hes a nice guy and will be glad to help you.
I've done many auto-x events and a few trips to the drag strip with no problems at all. I've had them for about 6 months now and they have yet to giv eme any problem, they also have a warranty so i can ship the back for new ones at any time if i have aproblem.
Also the advance, autozone axles dont use balancer rings on the shaft so they tend to wobble and bounce. The raxles ones have the balancers and are manuafactured with oem shafts and knuckes not reman stuff like the ones form the parts stores.

well i havent had any personal experience with the auto zone axles buti have talked to people and read quite a few posts where people did have problems. Guess its lke anything else there are good and bad in everyhting.
you sir are also correct on the balancer rings the itr did not come with those. Guess the axles i got with my swap wernt really R axles and marty at Raxles said that he uses balancer rings on all the axles he manuafactures. IDK not a big deal but i could see how it would dampen vibrations and balance the shaft, maybe its all in mt head...
.
EDIT: well i say you are correct about the balancer shaft but i dont know the balancer is not listed on the parts list for the type r or gsr...
type r http://www.barancoacuraparts.c...ch=no
gsr axle http://www.barancoacuraparts.c...ch=no

I bought reman axles for my old EF from Advance Auto parts and they were junk.
If I had to do it again Id go with raxles (heard many good things) or OEM from somewhere like Baranco.
