Default drop on Stock ITR suspension

Hello ITR enthusiast

Well im getting a good deal on the 01 ITR suspension with LCA. I want to lower my car and im wondering if the ITR suspension will handle it. I know the ITR suspension is better than some aftermarket suspension, so this is the reason why I went for these and for the price. Thanks.

It will only lower it slightly. A few mm's would be my guess.

i know the ITR springs are slightly lower than the Gs-r. But my question is, how much drop can it handle in stock form?

What are you talking about? You can't lower a car without buying new srpings, therefore not utilizing the stock ITR sussy. Are you talking about just the shocks?

I believe he is asking "if he installs aftermarket lowering springs, how low can he go on the oem shocks?"

Most people who want the lowered-look usually go 1"-1.5". You will lose susp. travel doing this, probably increase the ride harshness, and wear the shocks faster.

I had installed Neuspeed sport lowering springs on my ITR about 15,000 miles ago. Dropped it about 1.75 inches in the front and 1.5 in the rear. I am currently replacing then with a full coilover because all my shocks are blown and its impossible to find used or new OEM stuff cheap.

My recommendation is if you want to lower your car do it right the first time, get a spring/shock combo or a full coilover.

I have been running H&R Sport Springs for about a year and its fine. I know other people that run these springs for a like 2 or 3 years and fine as well.

Maybe I just have bad luck You can be sure of one thing though, if you lower it your stock shocks WILL wear out faster, weather it takes 1 year in my case or a few years.

At any rate I'm sure I will enjoy having an adjustable suspension
