i just pick up a jdm itr 4.7 fd tranny and im in the procces of picking up some new slicks this year and was wondering what size slicks do you n/a guys with around 230-240whp & 150tq are running. last year i was using mh 22x8x13 with a stock 4.4 fd b16 tranny and traction bar and my best 60ft was only a 1.7 lauching at 7k and anything above that i get tire spin.

use a 23X8 on a 13 inch wheel.my friend uses 23s with that power and he went 11.8 weighing in at 2200 pounds. he also has a 4.7 final in his trans.

What were you trapping on the 22" Slicks and how much does your car weigh?

with the 22" trap speed was 106-109 mph. and i have no idea how much my car weigh. its a 92 eg cx model with just back seats and panels remove

 

106-109 trap speeds doesnt equal 230+WHP.

believe it or not i dyno my car last year at Church (dyno pack) and made 227whp and 155tq. im re-tunning again very soon and will post up dyno

 

its no need, i know how churchs dynapak reads. my statement stands.

stick with the 22" slicks....

i made a about 15 "hub-HP" more than you did at Church and the 22" slicks work fine... i trap about 110 mph and am able to cut 1.61 60fts with no LSD too..

I would say 24 7.5 X 13


i have close to 230 hp to the wheels and i have 22 7.5 X 13 and i spins out my r/t was bad and i only hit 12.8@105

with my 24 7.5 X 13 i ran low 12's all day @ 113 mph

For the OPs trap speed, the 22"x8"x13" slicks will work fine...

What is your 60ft with those 24" slicks?..
