there's no towing capacity for a sports car.
low end torque is more important than horsepower and rev's in term of towing capacity, and certainly your diff and tranny will not like what you are towing.

i found a company online that makes a tow hitch for the s2000. my si has a 1000 lb tow limit. i would think a s2000 would be 1500lb? im mainly interested in this for my mountain bike. but it would be cool to get a totaled s2000 take the rear section and make a custom trunk as extra storage for road trips and just toe the rear section or trunk if you can imagine what im talking about.

the manual says 0 pounds. ANY towing will void your warranty. If you dotn have a warranty, ANY towing will make you look like a jerk.

I have a custom hitch on my S2000, mounted to the bumper support. I've been towing a 200-250 lb tire trailer about once a month with no issues. I've towed about 2000 miles so far. Tounge weight is about 40 lbs. I towed the same trailer on my Miatas, and you really don't notice it as a load (though I hear it rattling at low speed and over bumps).

lol no that's realistic. Think about it, you got 2 people weighing in at roughly 180-200 lbs. That's the size of people that fit into S2000s comfortably anyway. Then you get what? 20lbs of stuff in trunk? maybe some groceries? hmm? Some ramen noodles and spaghetti sauce, perhaps? <~~ im not sure why
Im 160lbs of pure pain, btw.

in the manual it does say no towing and it also mentions that you shouldnt have over 4 hundered pounds in the car but i get what your saying the driver a passenger and some extra stuff in the trunk is going to be around 400lb i geuss it wasnt made for more then that which i dont think should be a big deal it is a sports car
