so i'm driving today n a little stuck in traffic.. i'm in second going slow n my car starts cutting off so i tap the gas a little to keep it on n it does n i manage to pull over n park. When i'm pulled over i tap the gas n the car goes back to normal. so i get home n change the rubber tube seals on my valve cover cus they were leaking oil into the spark plugs n wires. I clean the plugs out, clean all the oil....n i start driving againg n a lil while later the car starts cutting off againg so i pulled over n then it went back to normal. My friend saw my dizzy and said the timing is all the way retarded so dat could be the problem....so we adjust it. n i start driving n within the 20 minutes i drove it after dat it hasnt done it againg...do u guys think if ur dizzy has the timing all da way retarded da car would do dat? my rex is an obd1 mpfi dx....

 

anyone? would retarded timing on ur dizzy cause ur car to cut off? at first i thought i snaped the throttle cable but apparently dat wasnt it...

its just obd1 n mpfi....n the usual bolt ons....thats it...

 

new cap, new rotor, new plugs... autta do it if its not something huge, prolly only lookin at spendin 40-50 bucks
