Default em1 to em1 swap

I may be getting em1 shell and I currently own an em1. I will have to swap engine and tranny. How involved is somethig like this. I have never done a swap so this will be my first and I want things to go as smoothas possible. Any suggestions will help, thanks HT'ers

get a helms manual, it will help. but with the em1 the harness runs all the way inside the car. so you need to disconnect it and take it out with the motor

no, i think the biggest is the axles. You need to remove the axles from the tranny, unbolt everything, remove harness, take engine out, boom reverse it, and your done...would you ever sell me your em1 chassis?

my suggestion is use your current engine harness if possible. You know it'll plug into the new car, and it'll save you time from unplugging sensors and make it easier. Unplug all hoses and stuff from the motor first, throttle cable, and anything else, then unplug the harness from the car and computer and drape it over the motor. Then yank the axles, shift linkage, mounts and it's out. And i believe the bitch pin takes a 5/16" punch, or maybe it was 3/8", i don't really remember, i have a special bolt i use for that
