i'm building a h22a1 block with a h23a1 crankshaft. the h23a1 and the h22a1 are the same size for bearings correct? how come the acl has a race series for h22a4 only? will the acl duraglide be good with my setup? and i should get them in standard size right?
i'm running benson sleeves with 89mm and 12.0:1 cr wiseco pistons. i have damages on my oil squirters. should i get new ones or just remove them? if i remove them, i just take it out and put back in the bolts correct?

The H22a4 has different size mains than the H22a/a1.
For bearings go OEM honda and make certain you gauge everything
Use the oil squirters. Buy new or whatever you gotta do.

I'd replace the oil squirters and use OEM bearings. Clearance them properly with a bore gauge and mic. You could try plastigauge, but it's not going to be as accurate. If you don't have the tools to do it, have a machine shop do it.

i think i'm going to have the shop install and blueprint everything, but just need to get the stuff. how are oem compared to acl bearings? are they better?
losing the oil squirter only helps oil pressure and having it keeps the cylinder walls cooler right?

I'd really think twice about using that crank. The weight removal method looks....questionable. Has it been balanced? I'd certainly recommend you have it magnafluxed and checked for balance if you're dead set on using it. Please tell you haven't been storing it laying down like in the photos.
Here are some pictures of a stock H23 crank (not mine, the person that posted them said it's an H23 crank):

Notice that the counterweights look totally different than your crank? Also, it looks like the person removed weight off the counterweights with an angle grinder instead of doing it on a lathe.
IMO, here's what a properly lightened crank should look like (again not my photos, I don't have photos of the lightened crank I have), from this thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1790184

the people that i bought it from said that it was balance already. i'll the shop double check on that. but the way i store, i just it back in the stuffed box.
I dont mean to sound like a dick or anything, but you need to do some SERIOUS reading and research before touching anything else on this build. Id also highly recommend finding a good machine shop in the area that has experience with honda motors.

The tubing with the bolt on it is one of the squirters. To buy a new squirter assembly, go to any of the online OEM Honda parts dealers. That's the best place to get a new squirter assembly.
More importantly, have you had the block checked for cracks?
Are you seriously planning to use that crank? Since you've been storing it in a box, have it checked for runout. I had a crank with a spun rod bearing once that I used to balance a flywheel. When I originally used the crank, it was fine. I stored it laying down for a few months, and when I went back to have another flywheel balanced, the machinist told me the crank had quite a bit of run out. From what I know, that was due to the way the crank was stored.
