Default What type of epoxy should I use?

I'm doing a pretty basic lil project.

I'm molding gauge pods to fit into my stock cluster in my 94 Integra. I'm not too crazy about doing fiberglass (not too great w/it,tried before a couple of years ago) but I'm killer at pottery so putty/epoxy stuff I'm familiar with

Sad, I know.. Please don't flame.

Anyway, what would you reccommend for plastic? Something that I can sand down and paint thats faily maleable* and I can get locally (at a parts store or something like that). Isn't there some 2 part epoxy that you mix together that they sell at like discount auto or something? I vaugely remember something like that...

Your suggestions are appreciated.

you can go to any auto store or craft store and buy a two part putty epoxy, they usually come in sticks and it will dry in about 15 mins and you can sand, drill and even paint over it after the 15 mins, but it does take a full 24 hours for it to fully cure. I would not recommend using this for your application because its gonna be pretty heavy and its not gonna be to cost effective.

I would recommend buying fleece wool at a craft store and streching it over what ever you want to mold, staple it to the back and brush resin on it. If you still dont like what you see you can get a small can of bondo and fill in the lows and smooth your piece out. by then you can sand paint and drill. this way wont be as heavy and its much easier to sand than epoxy.
