low rpm sputter/bogging b16 obd0 in 91 CRX HF
hey guys. i just bought a super clean 91 CRX that already had a b16 swapped into it. im having issues with CEL when i put it into reverse. i understand that clipping pin b9 on the ecu will fix that problem. i havnt been able to get to that yet but i am wondering if that has to do with some driveability issues i'm having. when the car warms up it sputters and bogs at low RPMs. most noticable when starting from dead stop. if i dont rev up the engine to about 3000 RPM before letting up the clutch it bogs real bad. i cant figure out whether it is running lean or rich and causing this to happen. i also havnt installed a 2nd o2 sensor because i have a 4 to 1 header. im thinking i might get a tuned ecu that bypasses the o2. any help/ ideas would be great!
A bad or missing o2 could do that. My o2 is shot and my car bogs like a ****. You might wanna check your spark plugs, wires, cap/rotor, fuel filter, and clean your injectors.
i have checked and pretty much replaced everything you just mentioned! all of my ignition and fuel delivery is working properly.(mechanically speaking). Im thinking its probly the secondary o2 sensor causing some issues. do you guys have much experiance with Erick's Racing ecu's? i talked to them and they told me they can set up my ecu to bypass the secondary o2.
