Ive got an ef crx si im converting this to jdm but i also want to keep it light i dont want to put more weight on it. the doors on the ef8 though have power windows and locks does this mean they weigh more? For my weight reduction im tearing out the interior from behind my seats. Is there any thing else that would make a differance?
Thanx!!

Firstly, it'll never be a jdm car being it was made to our specs.
Yes the power windows and locks weight more, unlike in my camaro it's even lighter neat huh?
For losing weight you are forced to do one of two things, spend money and get lighter parts, or rip stuff out.
The interior weighs next to nothing. Light wheels tires etc help the best, unsrpung weight is best to remove if you can.
Carbon fiber hood takes a few pounds but costs, yanking out the A/C if you have it gutting your sunroof and using just a cap saves a few lbs.
How hardcore are you willing to go and how much are you willing to spend is what it boils down to.

... jdm doors are lighter due to non door mounted belts and less crash bs.
I would switch to a crx hf front bumper support, remove the washer squirter tank, ac. Next if your "hardcore" get rid of the hvac and anyother non motor/brakes/lights part.
