as the ttl says im looking for v-tec head for whatever block is the non v-tec in the del sol or can i use just any soch one ? thanks

 

what year is your del sol? it makes a difference as to what engine originally came in your car.

 

um .... i am looking at the car the buy . i just ant the v-tec and i know it doesn't have it but im unsure if its a D15 or 16.

 

93, 94, and 95 del sol S models get the D15B7 (non-vtec SOHC OBD1)
96 and 97 del sol S models get the D16Y7 (non-vtec SOHC OBD2)

93, 94, and 95 del sol SI models get the D16Z6 (VTEC SOHC OBD1)
96 and 97 del sol SI models get the D16Y8 (VTEC SOHC OBD2)

94-97 del sol VTEC models get the B16A* (VTEC DOHC)
