Default bypassing the "U" hose from the intake to water pipe question......

you all know the "U" shaped hose from the intake manifold to the coolant pipe, tstat housing, can i plug it? i am trying to run as little coolant hoses as possible. i know it is pretty much a bypass, but is it necessary? the car will see very little of the street as there are too many people waiting for me to leave it outside my garage.

thanks in advance.

i had coolant temp issues when i capped them off.

not sure if your using this or not, but if you wanna at least shorten the hose to at least a third of the length of the orignal U hose, get a 96-01 gsr therm casing, and it has a 90* hose fitting in it already, unlike the b16 where it has a straight fitting.

definitly do not bypass that loop hose, it helps get the thermostat hot, and allows the water to circulate around. if you block it off the car will either overheat or run hot. (i did this on my black coupe, thats how i know what happens when the hose is not looped)
