NRG products, are they good enouph for track use??
NRG has a whole bunch of stuff, seats, quick releases, steering wheels, ect... Are they good enouph for track use?? Will they pass tech inspection?
Thanks
Thanks
I was a bit skeptical about their quick-release thing after some of what I had previously read, but my friend used it on track this past weekend without issue. There's no kind of rating system for those, so that should be legal, as should their steering wheels. For seats, are they FIA rated? That'll play a part in some regions for legality. If they're not, you might be forced to get a back brace for them.
I have a friend who swears by their 4 point lower front brace but I ordered their front and rear upper strut tower bars for my beater EG and the rear one was drilled wrong so that it wouldn't even come close to fitting. Just saying that their quality control doesn't give me any confidence to put their stuff on my track car.
^^
I have read stories of the NRG seats not lining up properly to bolt in also.
Having never dealt with them personally, I can't give an accurate opinion.
What I can say, though, is that when my life and the lives of others are at risk in a rack track environment, I trust the names that have been around. (Sparco, Recaro, etc).
