tranny slipping can someone help?
i have a 1990 honda accord lx well we replaced the tranny with a used one and the car shift fine when driving it , it causes to slip out of gear so you have to stop and turn it off and then it will drive again til it slips again . is this something simple to fix or do i need another tranny?
same thing happened to my car and i replaced the tranny with an oem tranny pulled from same year as mine (97) but with 5k miles on it. if you replaced your old one with another very used tranny...you may have wasted your money. im sure every case is different but the problem with mine was a leak. paid 650 for the used tranny and 250 to install. i would get it diagnosed if you are not capable of doing it yourself.
but weird is the car drives fine but you can go about a mile or so and it slip out, i talked to a PLACE that does trannys and he said to check my sensors , but there is no grinding at all just when you press the gas the rpm's just jump and no power, i am so lost
