Default Anyone have experience with Quaife Gearsets ?

http://www.autotech.com/quaife/gears/civic.htm

Curious how many people have used Quaife's Syncromesh Helical gear set in a drag racing application.

How did this setup work for you?
What kind of power were your making ?
What final drive size were you using ?

I'm looking for real life personal experience.

From the looks of it in person, nice big beefy stuff. Looks pretty badass!
I'm just a little skeptical about the short ratio's, my concern would be limitation of MPH at the top of 4th, with a 24.5" slick. (follow link above for ratio's)

Im planing on using this gear set, just curious what people have to say.

Thanks.

I have some pictures for you guys also. Ill post some up when i get a chance, figure everyone loves pictures!!

for a turbo car the ratios arent good, but for an all motor setup that trans would be perfect. 125 in 4th with a 25'' tire going through the traps at 10k.....

thats if you have a chassis thats good enough to control the tire speed w/ that first gear.

Just curious as to someones real life experience.

I never said what kind of set-up it was going on =P

Does seem to be a nice setup for all motor guys. I know someone on this forum was using it in their allmotor car, just forgot his user name.

They are $3495.00 Brand new from Autotech.

I have two full sets. Im most likely only going to be using one though.

I wonder if the 5th gears can be modified to fit in 4th position. Thats ratio is very similar to a stock gsr 4th gear ratio. Ill have to look into that.
