i changed my oil today, and when i put in 4 quarts and check the dipstick to see where i was, well it was up to the top notch and 2 months ago when i did it i put almost 4.5 in it , im starting to think not all the oil came out when i drained it.......im kinda confused

and yes it was on level ground

Did you change your oil filter as well?

maybe built up a little bit of sludge on the bottom of the crankcase you could buy some cleaners for that like $10 and run it in your engine for about 10-15 mins before you change the oil that could help

 

did you change it with the engine hot? filter off?
