Default Shift linkage question - oldschool Hasports w/ newschool B16

I did some searching, but couldn't find my answer. Hoping someone can give me some insight..
I'm putting finishing touches on the B16A2 swap and had some problems hooking up the shift linkage. I have oldschool Hasports (I think first ones they made), and was using a "Race Tech" shift linkage that came out of a hatchback with a B16. He used different mounts though, so maybe that is the problem. When I go to hook up the linkage, the two rods bind because of the angle and it's impossible to get it on there straight. Is my only option buying a Hasport linkage? Anyone had this problem before?

Dub I think you or spot on. Different mounts = different length shift linkage, the length is probably very slight but enough to screw things up.

Thanks the the affirmation Todd. Maybe I should have just used those no name mounts with the linkage that came with it instead.

Ross says he has an extra stock shift linkage I can have...maybe I'll just have to modify that to work. Hopefully that'll do.

Does anyone know the difference between the 90-93 teg linkage and the 94-up linkage? Will either work or should I stick with a 90-93? This would help opening the search as I'm not having an easy time sourcing a 90-93.

Thanks!

There's a reason its harder to source the 90-93 - DA linkage is different from DC2 linkage. Do not get the 94+ stuff, it won't work.

94+ ones will work but the attachment at the bottom of the shifter is different so it requires a 94+ shifter also. Ive modified both types, no problems besides the shifter.
