Default YOU DID NOT PASS SMOG

i have a 91' integra gs auto

lol so i got owned trying to get my car smoged. and failed.

my NO (ppm) is suppose to be at 807 it was 3,476

my HC(ppm) is suppose to be 121 it was 129

my CO(%) was 0.76 it was 0.77

ok so im trying to fix **** so i can pass smog.

so far i have done

Cleaned my IAC
CLeaned my FITV
did radiator flush
Got new cat
got new air filter
did oil change
got new fuel filter

my idle still pulsates a little, not as bad as before i started to clean everything. but it still there.

can you guys think of anything else that might help me pass smog.

oh yea and i have 395,XXX miles on the car LMFAO

I bet your EGR valve isnt working right or the passages are plugged. EGR will help with NOx. A bad EGR can effect idle also.

You should try to get state funding. The state of california will pay up to $500 to get your car to pass smog. My friend failed his smog and got like $400 to help him pass smog.

well my timing is completely off.. i would say its about 3 inches off from where its suppose to be.

so that means im gunna ahve to pull the motor and take the head apart and reset the cams.

But good news is i bought a wrecked 91 da, for 300$ so im gunna use all the parts of f of it to do my auto to 5spd change over.

plus i get my new hood/fenders/wheels/doors off of this car. so this is defenitaly a come up! wo0t

Perhaps then you would care to explain what part #17 is then?

DAs DID come with EGR if it had an automatic transmission.

sirhavok - good luck with the repairs.

your NOx reading is very high. I have a fairly new EGR valve for sale if you want and it's posted on the forsale forum.

PM me if any.

your #1 fix is SeaFoam. It will work 100% and ur #'s will drop to almost zero. Just dont put it in the oil. Suck half the bottle through the brake booster line, and the other half in the gas tank.

then change your O2 sensor, spark plugs, and PCV valve.

you should remove your cat before you seafoam the motor, or else you will load it with all of the gunk from your motor and it will not work very well

ya i was gonna say to do that too, but wasnt sure if it might be too much trouble for the OP.

I took mine off because it was a brand new carsound.

But SeaFoam will work amazing and solve all your problems.

WOW! I stand corrected! Good call

I have never messed with an auto DA so I have never seen or hell even heard of it...

learn something new everyday!

So what happened with the OP? Did it pass finally?
