Default Timing belt/Water pump maintenance

I don't create own topics very often but I'm a little lost in deciding what to purchase for replacement parts. If anyone will help chime in what would be ideal for my scenario would be much appreciated.

I usually stick with OEM because it gives me some piece of mind that it's what came with the car from the factory, but I was wondering about an after market belt and/or pump to use instead. Here are the main factors in my decision listing in the order of most important to least important: cost (both upfront and long run), reliability, and performance.

I'm mainly concerned about the T-belt and pump, but if there are any other after market parts which would replace other regularly replaced parts at this time (seals and so forth) would be appreciated if mentioned as well; assuming there would be a benefit regarding my three concerns.

Time frame for me to accumulate these parts are about a month (next oil change).

Thanks in advance

BTW, any debates on OEM vs After Market is welcomed (more knowledge to consume)

You should search there are many topics on this.
For me I used the OEM pump and a yates belt. I heard that yates makes the belts for honda or something like that. I know OP use honda belts strictly. If you car is a DD without crazy mods stay OEM parts, IMO. The only reason to go aftermarket in this area would be if your car made a ton of power/heat.

Trust me when I say this, I'm very comfortable with the search function.

The main reason why I went ahead and posted was because the results I were reading were about which is better for a certain hp etc (in other words, which would perform better under a certain load). I'm more concerned about which would be more cost effective in the long run (like $1 every week vs $100 for 5 years). As far as cam seals go, i've read a lot about how the after market stuff tend to be a little hard to fit compared to OEM.

I guess what it really comes down to is:

If a belt is made to handle double the horsepower, does it give it twice the longevity as the OEM one if used with a stock engine? Same goes for all the other components

you can't really go wrong with oem, they have many high horsepower cars here running the oem water pump and timing belt.

This will probably be the answer that I've been looking for...thanks for the link.

Can't beat OEM at cheap prices.

he told me they were made by the same companies that make the stuff for honda, in my obd1 b16a kit, the water pump was identical to the oem pump I replaced, koyo i believe, the tensioner was GMB, the spring had the honda sticker on it, and the TB was unmarked, but of good quality. I am happy with kit i recieved.

hope this helps, also a ton of people have bought these kits and i haven't read any negative reviews

Our timing belts are by Contitech/Goodyear/Gates all OEM suppliers. Like EGsleepercivic stated all of our kits consist of a OE Honda tensioner Spring / OEM Timing Belt/ Tensioner (GMB)Koyo NPN all OEM Suppliers.. Water Pumps/ GMB / Koyo

FYI OEM = Orginal Equipment Manufactuer OE = Orginal Equipment ie. (Honda)
