NOVICE AUTOX
We have an event on March 11th and Im very excited to start.I been playing Grand Turismo,Wangan ect and now im actually get to drive my car legally!! haha..anyways, what should i look for? Tips, Advice?...my setup:

remove P/S
hopefully things will go sucessfully and i can get some pics like Doostur!! hahaa
Brake in a straight line (Don't go nose diving into turns), be conservative with the gas through turns, this will keep you from understeering. Keep your foot on the gas in the straights, and just worry about negotiating the turns properly. And most of all, whip that caR around like it was meant to.
Hopefully you can get an instructor or someone experienced to ride shotgun with you.
Just remember to be smooth about everything.
Smooth steering
Apply linear but firm braking, don't stomp down
Apply the gas smoothly
Learn how to control the car around corners using lift-throttle oversteer
Best way to learn is to get out there as much as you can.

Funny thing you mention that, because when I first bought GT4, it actually came with this little driver's manual with tips on how to drive. One thing I recall is how they employed 2 strings to teach you how to steer/brake/accelerate.

Don't do that. Just show up at the event and get some instruction from experienced autocrossers.

Walk the course as much as you can before you drive it, until you can play back the course in your mind without seeing it. Absolutely ride with someone first if you can and have someone more experienced ride with you.
While driving, try to look as far ahead as possible, look "across the lot" instead of just at the gate right in front of you. Have fun and good luck!

Definately walk it once or twice. Take your first run a little easy and progress from then on. You dont want to be all lost.

Not just once or twice - as many times as you can. It's a lot of information to try and absorb for someone new to the sport.
I would also recommend participating in the beginner's course walk if it's available at the club hosting the event.

The best thing you can do is not try to go fast. If you start out slow, learn the course, and concentrate on being on course and smooth, speed will come later. Don't even think about the possibility of winning your first event. If you showed up at my home club you would get your *** handed to you by an old guy in an Escort station wagon.
Accept advice. If somebody tries to tell you something, don't take it as an insult to your manhood. They are just trying to help you to be a safer and faster driver.
I've been autocrossing all over the place for 12 years and I've only met 4 people I didn't like!
Good luck and most importantly, have fun.

That's great advice. I usually walk the course 4 to 6 times before each event. You must memorize the course ahead of time. When you get going in your first run, things will be moving very quickly. You wont have time to to learn the course as you go.
Learn the course.
Be slow in and fast out of corners.
Be smooth.
Keep your head up and keep looking ahead and not soley in front of you.
Have fun.

Excellent advice. My times are always faster when I remember to look ahead.
