4-2-1 Header Gasket Help - Need to find replacements
I need to replace some well worn out gaskets on my DC Sports type ceramic coated header. I'm having a b!tch of a time trying to find one from the local auto parts store. Seems they only think oem is available. I'm trying to find them online only to not find exactly what I'm looking for.
The header is a 4-2-1 style with the first piece attaching to the cylinder head (uses stock exhaust manifold gasket) then it combines down to a 2 tubes where there's a second pipe of 2 runners. This is the middle connection in the pic below and the Mid header gasket thingy. The diameter of each exhaust hole is about 44mm.
The last gasket I'm looking for is a donut style reducer gasket to attach to what would be the mid pipe (where the cat would be) but on my race car it's just a test pipe. This is the end gasket in the pic below. It is about 48mm inner diameter.

yep, easy as pie!

You would figure since they sells 1000s of headers of similar design and provide gaskets with the new ones, they'd expect owners to need a new replacement sometime in the future. Or are they just expecting you to buy an entire new header. Well maybe Pacesetter where I can see the gasket outlasting the header in that regard.
Man that mid header gasket sure looks like the gasket between the heat exchangers and the muffler on my old VW Bus...

The part should be the same for 72-74 and 1979; also Vanagon up to early 83 (with aircooled engine).
As far as the doughnut gasket, your local parts store should have a selection of them, just ask if you can go in the back and look at them.

Is it a D series header? If so, the 2 O-ring style crush rings (located at the 4 to 2 connection) are the same as a 90-93 integra's. Go to Acura and have the parts guy compare for you.
If its a B series header, go to Acura and compare again. I think they're the same too.
As for the collector, i cant recall exactly what i used but any muffler shop should stock that part.
I remember doing this like 3 years ago so hopefully im recalling this stuff correctly

I found a donut reducer gasket that'll fit (almost the exact same size). It's a GM v6 231 Engine 1988-1994. It is made by Federal-Mogul and has a part number of 85040. It is also cross referencable to a McCord 82 0134 or Victor F 7515.
I'll check on the Accord F22 gasket as that looks like the middle gasket. I did try to find one today at Autozone and they are just clueless to help.

I ordered a F22 center header gasket someone posted on eBay. When I get it I'll compare them side by side and whola - here will be a thread where someone can find replacement exhaust gaskets for after market 2 piece 4-2-1 headers.

Did u not even read my post? The DC headers dont use a flat type paper/metallic gasket in the "center of the header" as u put it. They use crush style metal O rings. If u use a gasket material and or shape that isnt meant for the header, you can probably count on it blowing out sometime down the road, whereas if u used the proper type you wouldnt have a problem.

Since I'm no longer sure it's a DC Sports type header I'm just trying to replace the exact fit gasket that it came with (I bought it used but in great shape). I couldn't find a DC sports label or stamping on it (there isn't one). The one that it replaced was a Chikara header - junk when you compare the two.
