would 2000 Civic Si seats fit ok in a 1990 Hatch? or are there better/ more comfortable seats compatable?

 

well i got 95 si seets in mine and well i had to bolt them to the floor after reinforcing it with steel plates so that if i mean if i ever get in a wreck, the seat won't just rip out of the floor... i would say measure the rails on your seats and compare them to the 2000 seats.. That is what I should of done before gettin mine but ohh well... Good luck..

 

I have a 2000 Si and while I dont know if the seats will fit, they are not "better" than the original civic or crx (at least the si) seats for that year. The stock seats have side bolsters, 2000 civic seats are essentially flat.

 

they are not a bolt up affair. only 88-91 seats will fit. 92-00 civics/integras will fit each other (if my memory serves me correctly)

 

2000 seats wont directly bolt in. i find del sols to be the best oem seats aside from like s2k and rsx, but neither will really bolt in without modification

i love my del sol seats i just did the swap... pain in the *** and fairly hard but very worth it

sorta close Here is the Deal. All 88's had different rails then the 90-91. Some 89's had 90-91 rails and seatbelt in door. some did not. i ahve an 89 with seatblets and an 89 without. it is all about the date the car was made. i dont know the dates. it is possible to swap 91 seats in a 89 if they are the newer 89s. The 88 are guaranteed not to have seatblets in doors and have differnt rails. That is from my experience

 

can u just swap out rails because i have a pair of 200 si seats and want to put them in my 88 hatch?

 

you might be able to swap the rails pull the passenger seat out and try it on that one so u can still drive the car ... just look and test fit.... then try taking the tails off and and try to swap the seat rails see if they fit.. you may end up having to switch the seat pans... i dont know how thy will fit with switched seat pans but i just did that for a del sol seat swap.. and i love the del sol seats
