Default Removed head, do i need to do a valve adjustment and adjust the timing?

just like the title says, removed the head to install arp head studs, new timing belt, pump and tensionor, cap and rotor. do i need to do a valve adjustment and re- adjust the timing?

you don't NEED to but its probably a good idea since you have it apart. and yes you need to re-adjust timing as well, especially if you pull the dist. off.

is there anyway to do it without a timing light or atleast really close so i can drive it around for awhile?

Setting valve-lash is easy and should take 10 minutes with some feeler gauges.
