Anyone good with electrical problems? I think it's something in the ignition.
UPDATE: I just wanted to let everyone who has ignition switch problems know that you can probably save yourself $75 very easily. If you're going to replace it anyway, no harm in trying to fix it, right? It's already broken. I did just that and pulled it, took it apart, and reinstalled it all in about 45min. and it works perfectly. I just had some build up on the electrical connection and I just sanded it. It was so easy and, like I said, saved me $75. It's very simple and totally worth the time. You'd spend that much time going to get a new one anyway probably...
So I finally figured out why my car died going down the road... almost. I pinned it down to an electrical problem that I think is in the ignition area. My "dummy lights" don't come on when I turn the key to the "on" position, but they do when I turn it to start it. The car starts fine, but turns off right away when I let the key go back to the "on" position. I finally got them to come on after turning the key lots of times and then did a role and popped the clutch to start it (didn't want to mess with it and turn the key to start once it was working) and managed to get it home, but once home, I turned it off. When I turned it again to see if they still worked, they didn't. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance. I never went here since this is the first problem I've really had with my honda since I got it, but now I'm really thinking of doing a MPFI/head swap and maybe a couple other things. So many things that I never even knew about. You guys have an awesome site.

Do I just pull that cover just behind underneath the steering wheel off to get to it? Thanks for the suggestion.
you pull the cover off the steering column, and then there are 2 screws that attach the white plug of the ignition switch to the metal tumbler of the ignition system. take the 2 screws out and unplug the 2 big plugs and it is out.
there is a way to test the switch to make sure it is bad before you buy a new one, because they are like $75.

Awesome. Thank you very much. Unfortunately I know next to nothing about the electrical side of things.
And does anyone know where that annoying little beeper is that goes off when the door is open. I can hear that it's right on the fuse box or somewhere there VERY close, but I can't seem to find the little bastard...
