Default PROJECTORS/HIDs/BOTH(95 ACCORD)

I have a 95 Accord, and I want to put some dual halo one piece black housing projectors in. However, I have heard that aftermarket projectors pretty much suck. But I have also read that projectors increase vision by 50%. I would love to put HIDs in with the projectors, but all of the projectors I've seen for sale say not to use HIDs(because the HID bulbs are too long). I don't have HIDs yet, but I'm considering scratching the projector idea, and just buying an HID kit. I would really like to know if you can modify the projectors to fit HIDs, or if projectors are too risky to even purchase in the first place.

For the projectors i would stick with a name brand like TYC, the ebay brands are hit and miss quality wise.

as for the HID bulbs not fitting into the projectors i think that might have something to do with either poorly designed HID bulbs, or crappy projectors.

I have a set of TYC projectors and XENON HID's found here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1847971

i have no issues with the bulbs not fitting. and i love the light output

but dont just get an HID kit on your reflector housings, that is dangerous to oncomming drivers due to the scatered light (blinding light)

im guessing that since he was going to scratch the projector idea due to the bulbs not fitting that he has no plans on a retrofit.

note to op: as bruce banner said, and retro fit would be the best thing to do, it is also the most costly and hardest to look correct.

forgive my ignorance here, but what model do you retrofit from? Not ITR lights? My understanding was that the best results came from good projectors equiped with an HID conversion.

<=== Wants to do this mod soon

I've decided that I'm just going to blackout my factory headlight housings, and all other lenses(turn signal, sidemarker, rear bumper), and run with 8000K HIDs.
