ok guys i have a 1990 accord dx.
i am soon getting a paint job. i was told that i should strip and prime it myself in order to save some cash........
exactly what tools and equipment will i need to strip and prime my car ???

for best results, remove all the components you can. Take out the grille, mouldings, lights, trim, bumers, fenders etc. sand everything down with 600grit wet, and prime it. Sand down the primer with 600, and clean everything off. have it towed to the painters, and make sure that the painter cleans the car with degreaser and a tack rag. and re-assemble it your self. Its alot of work, but it saves on labor. Keep in mind, the more parts you can remove, the less likly there is going to flake off later, and the paint job will look seamless.
