I am about to paint my type R Night Hawk Black...and trying to decide what color rims to put on..i am thinking gun metal..cuz black might be too much black...or maybe silver....what do you think????

Are you repainting your Type R? what color is it now? and why are you doing such a thing?!

They're all beautiful colors, unless your car is smashed or got vandalized, you really shouldn't repaint it.

yeah that does look pretty sick...but i aint sure.....my car was pheonix yellow..but it was all scratched up and ****...so it needs a repaint job anyways..so i decided on the nighthawk black..for the main reason of i havnt seen a black r in my life..all i see are yellow and white..so black needs to be done..but thanks for the respones...its a hard decision...but i gotta do something..to get this thing on the road..i will post a pick when the car gets painted..its getting painted in about 2 weeks

I will give you a REALLY GOOD ADVICE. Keep it Phoenix Yellow

 

yea.. the black on black looks sick i think.. but honestly if its PY keep it PY.. unless you are absolutely set on black and plan to hold onto the car a REALY long time..

The hatch has a very nice black and red scheme going on.

Are you going to pull the engine and paint the bay? How about all of the other little areas that will still be yellow? If your changing the color of the car, it's harder to do right than you think.

keep it PY, just do a touch-up and save some cash. BUT, if you go with black, I would also make the rims black. makes the car look faster and more stealth. just my .02

Yeah, I hope he realizes that its not just the outside of the car that needs to get painted. That is going to cost some $$, that is if he going with a good painter/shop with good paint.
I'm witih everyone else, keep the stock color. It's cheaper the repainting the whole entire car a different color and you can use the extra money on mods. Just my 2cents

 

A totally black car looks bad ***... but i personally like the bronze or royal bronze... whichever is that dark bronze color.

.....don't listen to these guys - if I had the misfortune to end up with a PY, I'd have no qualms about repainting it inside and out FBP!

As a matter of fact, if I come upon any itr shells that need a rebuild, well you know exactly what I'll do - especially if it's PY!
