Default Make-your-own-toe-links?

I was thinking of instead of using the dead *** eccentric bolt for toe adjustment on the front of the rear trailing arms, I could just take a piece of DOM tubing, put left and right threads on it and use 1/2" rod ends?

I know Megan Racing makes them, but I work for a QA-1 Wholesaler, so I might as well save a couple bucks where I can. With dust boots, I really don't see why this couldn't be a streetable item. Any thoughts, comments, questions or ideas?

you would need to machine spacers since the bolt is metric and you are using a standard rod end. The ones I got from spc use teflon lined 1/2 rod ends just like this with adapter/spacers that go inside.

If you can make them go right ahead, they are selling for $160 on ebay so if you can make them cheaper although the spc ones are all aluminum which is a plus so it wont rust

Actually, I wanted to use the chromeoly QA1 XM rod ends b/c they are teflon coated and have much better bearing wear the aluminum counterparts.
plus i wouldn't be worried about them siexing on the tubing as long as they hold true to their positions and keep my toe right. I plan to dial it in to a happy about of toe out (minimal, maybe 1/16") and keep it there. Steel Jamnuts should ensure that it stays there.

Oh sorry the rod ends are steel, but everything else is aluminum. You can see the end spacer things Im talking about(the red part on the end links) you will have to make something like that. Im running much less than 1/16(.07) I tried 0 but now at .02. The front makes much more difference. I have 1/16 toe out on each side makes it very responsive

Thanks for the input. Whats the size on those spacers? just enough to clear the ears on the stamped steel trailing arm?
