I simply cannot get the c clip onto the new ball joint, is there a special tool im guessing?? I also heard I dont need them??

there is a c-clip removal tool, should be able to get it at any hardware store....

 

if you got new ones from honda they dont have the clip anymore

 

snap ring pliers are the special tool for c clips.

did the new ball joint come witha c clip?

 

I replaced mine back in November and couldn't get the damn C-clips on either, so i skipped em and i havn't had any issues.

 

yea i skipped it i remember reading that they are not needed plus i figured if the ball joint wants to pop out it has to break through the castle nut and pin I got it all back together, took me nearly a week to replace all the ball joints and my control arm bushings, i replaced the axles as well they look a little unfit but we will see. Thanks for the help
