Default Need Customization Advice!!!!

I'm getting so stressed out with this damn situation! I've heard that people swap out the factory 6 1\2's for 6x9's and i got my 6x9's and my lil 4 channel and now i cant figure out how its done... where do i cut? what tools will i need? i also have MTX 8's Would they fit? i dont want to take them out of the box to test... please let me know... I Drive a 1994 Civic EX Coupe 2Dr. I've posted this like 3 other times and no one has even responded.... which is odd because this site is where i got the idea. but anyway i appreciate it, thanks.

Putting 6x9" or 8" speakers into the rear deck designed to accomodate 6.5" speakers is not worth the time & effort IMO.

I have not seen it before, but My advice is the same as B18C_EJ8 not worth it, a properly installed 6.5" will outperform an improperly mounted 6x9.

Another problem is the rear deck of your car is structural all the dimples, folds and ribs are there for a reason, cutting them out only weakens the chassis in the rear leading to leaking rear window and other problems.

Swap the 6x9s for a set of 6.5", install the 8" into a box, use the HU to run the rear 6.5" and 2 ch. of the amp for the front 6.5" and bridge the other 2 ch. and use them to drive the 8", you will end up with better sound and without cutting up your car. 94

just because some people do it, it does not mean its a smart idea. what are you trying to accomplish by doing all of this work? is it just to be different?
