Better question: Are d- series oil pans interchangeable???

 

sure just use a z6 oil pickup with the pan

If i were in the position of needing a new pan, i would use either a z6 or an a6, as long as i got a pick up with the a6

 

I'm just scared doing this.Cause the deal is I can get a great deal on a Z6 oil pan already tapped for turbo but I have an A6 bottom so I need to be absolutely positive this set up will work and not F-**** up.If it wasn't turbo I'd do it in heartbeat but with turbo gotta be 1000000000% positive. Someone else chime in and give their opinion cause I'm on the fence with doing this!! Thanks

 

The only difference is in the oil pickup. z6 pan, use z6 pickup/a6 pan use a6 pickup
