Default My B16 swap

i had my boy do a full dpfi to mpfi wiring harness on my car, which he did a great job on. it was made originally for my b18 which i ended up selling for a good feal on my b16. i juyst dropped hte bad boy in and i read up on a million and 1 articles about how to wire vtec. kuz my boy is out the country and i dont wanna wait. so i did exactly what it told me to do i ran wires to a4 and b5 i believe for the pressure switch and solenoid. i did not run a second o2 sensor because headers do not have one and i did not run a knock because i am odb0. my question is...... this is my first vtec swap and ive never driven a vtec car alhave been non vtec so how would i kno if its kicking in or if my vtec is working properly? just incase ur wondering i did not tap into the wires on the ecu ikut dem completely and sotord and heat shrinked the ones for the solenoid n pressure swich......

you need to wire the knock sensor also..and the 2nd o2 sensor is neccesary for the obd0 vtec ecu, otherwise it will throw codes and there will be no vtec...atleast run the o2 sensor wire and splice into the 1,,thats not the right way but better then throwing a code.

the only way to kno if the VTEC is gonna work is to run it, thats the only way to find out if anything is wrong with the motor really

you cant go into vtec in nuetral..your friends dont know much about hondas, you should keep them away from your car..

like i said before, you wire in 2nd o2 sensor, and knock sensr, then reset the ecu so the codes disappear and vtec will kick in as long as the engine is warmed up and you're going more then 20mph,,do research on how vtec works. specifically the b16a 1st obd-0

also for hearing the vtec watch this video,,its a stock b16 with a muffler, you'll hear that click,,thats the vtec solenoid and high cam switching over..http://videos.streetfire.net/v...c.htm
