Default B18c GSR into a EG HELP!!!

Hi guys, Im new to the forums but not to Honda's. Over the weekend I swapped a b18c into my EG hatch and am having some problems. It was an auto and I conveted it to manual and got all those wires hooked up correctly so it will start. My problems are that my speedo doesn't work and I am throwing a O2 sensor code. I took the O2 sensor out of my EG and welded a bung it into the exhaust because it was in the front on the EG. I used the b18 harness and it starts and runs fine, it just throws the O2 code and the speedo won't work. I am using a P28 ecu. I am wondering if the gauge cluster that is in my EG only works for the auto trans??? or if it is another issue. Also on my O2 sensor the same thing, the plugs were the same but I don't know if the ecu reads the sensor different then what the d15 would. I hooked up all my wires except for the purge wires for the convertion and I doubt that would cause any problems. It doesn't seem to have Vtec either, At least it doesn't feel like it and I can't hear a tone change in the exhaust. With the check engine light on, does the ecu go into a close loop mode and turn that function off??? I did some looking and it seems that the vtec wont work when the vss doesn't work, is this correct???

Any help you guys could give me would be greatly apperciated. Chris

U should have used your stock civic harness. and if it wasnt an si model then just ran the wires to the ecu for vtec. I had issues trying to use a Teg harness on a EG in the past..

Just issues wiith the car running right in general.. Maybe if you use the complete GSR harness but if you use gsr to civic body harness i dont think it will mate up perfectly.... just a suggestion

Everything lined up fine. I just have a couple issues with the VSS and the o2 sensor.

Of course it will line up fine.. But you have to go through the harness at the clips with a fine tooth comb and see if all the colors of the wires match up on the civic side of the clip im pretty sure they dont.

try playing with the vss...i dont know if it could me damaged or what but when i did my swap my speedo wasnt working. i played with it buy cleaning it...checking wires on the plug and trying to plug it and unplug it...with a little downpush on it....it worked.. it doesnt matter if the speedo is automatic or stick...it still works. about your o2 sensor...make sure its bolted on to your cat and that is plugged in...also ur o2 sensor could be gone...
hope this helps...
