if it is tuned you should be able to get away with that compression on 93. and i am pretty sure you can buy just the cable to hydro conversion from hasport. call them

From what I've been told you can do it but you must have it tuned otherwise it can detonate and blow your **** up!! I'm in the same situation. I have an 84.5mm 12.5:1 B20
If it's going into a crx then you will need to convert to OBD1. I'm running an ODB0 Spoon ECU on my stock B20vtec and it still runs kinda lean.

Cams and cam timing are going to play a big role in this. With enough duration, it will bleed off a lot of that cranking pressure and it will be very streetable on 93. If you are thinking of doing this with stock or even ITR/CTR cams, it's doable but going to require a good bit of work to keep the detonation down.

Well said.

WOT ignition timing went from ~18.5deg with ITR cams to 36deg with BC5 cams on my ~12.2:1 85x87.2

hasport will sell just the hydro - cable conversion without the mounts, i had to buy one to put a cable b16 in a del sol. i think it was about $200. u know that u need a different tranny mount for a cable tranny than u need for a hydro tranny right?
