Hello all,
I'm new here (and to Hondas) and would appreciate any help. I drove the car home from my inlaws (distance of 40 miles), and the car was fine on the freeway. I turn onto my street and the car starts making a loud metallic clunking noise and lurching (flat tire feel). I pull up infront of my house put the car in park, and I hear a loud metallic snapping sound as I place the shifter in park. Now the car will not shift into any gear. When the shifter is located on a gear other than nuetral or park I hear a prominent whirring/clicking sound. I checked the tranny fluid about 2 months ago when I changed the oil and it looked fine. Only other known issue is 2 weeks ago the CV Joints started clicking, I was planning on changing those with the next paycheck. I need to know if I'm also looking at a new tranny now too?
