85' Prelude 1.8carb wont start!
My girlfriends 85' wont start at all. I think it may be the starter, but wanted to make sure. The car wont even attempt to turn over, i tried a new battery and everything, and nothing. I know her stupid *** step brother was trying to get it started after it had set for a shile, and kept grinding the starter. He got it started, only to let it die, and he insisted that it had to keep itself idling. I told him he was gonna expletive up, and to get out and let me in, but .... well you know how it goes.
Hey man I ahd an 86 SI and someone hooked up my battery backwards and it would start. Try checking the fusible link. Im not sure if it in the same place on your model but probably will be. Open the fuse box on teh passenger side fender and there will be a little door, open it and tehre will be a strip ( or a few) of metal, if broken, it just means taht too much power was being run through it and it melted it. replace it or just jumper the two connections with a piece of wire(cheap way)

Does the starter turn over, and the motor does not? That could be either a bad starter, or a tooth missing from the fly-wheel.
If the starter will not turn over and you have a fully charged battery then it could be wiring or the starter.
