ls tranny for the gas milage because i will be running high octane(93)

i hope you like slow acceleration. you can still retain good gas mileage with a b16/gsr tranny with a good partial throttle tune and not driving like an *** everywhere you go.

Yeap, I'm a believer.

Either of the B16 pistons (PR3, P30) or the USDM ITR pistons is what I would recommend. I think any of those would work well. With the P30 yielding the highest compression ratio I believe.
But...
1. Ditch the LS tranny. A GSR would do you fine. (I can manage 35 mpg come summer - and that's hardly any highway running)
2. I don't think you should expect 200 whp with the cams you wish to run.
Other than that... looking quite good.

Well it's not like it's the end of the world if you rock the LS tranny. It does its job as a transmission that gets you from point A to point B. But if you'd like extra performance, while still maintaining good fuel mileage... you won't have issues with the GSR or B16 transmission. So if you can get ahold of one at some point in time, I personally would.
