Take the old one off, put the new one on. Replace the gasket, torque the bolts down right. And buy a helms or honda service guide

1. Put it back in the box.
2. Return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
3. Keep the stock manifold or get a euro-r manifold.
4. Prevent a loss of power across the board for any H22 from stock to extreme build.

The IM comes with instructions, however they are based on the 5th gen install.

there are hoever a few points added in for the 4th gen (albeit not accurate), but not hard to work out what you are doing.

Give yourself a day at least (depending on your skill level). Then get your car tuned.

There are also threads floating around about the install.

don't believe post above about you lose power across all rpm bands from stock to well modded cars

The only problem I ran into was with the IACV. I had clearance issues with the firewall. I'm not sure if the 4th gen has more room from the head to the firewall or less room. The IACV is relocated to the back of the manifold.

AND don't believe when people tell you the crap about not gaining power unless you've done a lot of work. I have done VERY minor mods, and I'm pushing 191whp and 158wtq. I'm not saying it's all because of the manifold, but with what most people say, I could gain horsepower going to a stock manifold....there's no way.

So far anyone who has posted comparative tests of the same engine with the S2 manifold has shown a general loss of power.

I went from a 1rst gen Skunk2 IM to a Euro-R. I am more than pleased with the results. I have so much more usable power now. My low end torque has definitely increased. I don't have to get on the pedal so much to get her to move. I did get the skunk2 tuned, the euro-r is still untuned.
Mods since switching to a euro-r manifold:
BPI V-stack
70mm tb(this is a big factor, i admit)
Type-S cams
So there you have it, make your own decision.

I don't know how much the Pro Series is an improvement over the 1rst gen. I can only speak from my experience of the 1rst gen.

mine turned out good too, posted results in another skunk thread.

most of the people who say it doesnt make power have not even seen the manifold let alone installed on their cars.

The euro-r is probably the best mass-produced IM for the h22.
