88 DX suspension questions. ** Searched **
I've got an 88 DX, suspension is completely blown out on it. I'm not looking to spend a ton of money on replacements. It seems that there are more options if I switch out my rear LCAs to Civic ones. I've also heard that I could also swap the front "forks" and use any suspension from the 92+ Civics. Can anybody confirm this info?
And before anyone says "It's not worth your time," know that I am going to disassemble the entire suspension anyways, so what does it hurt to swap these out?

For the rear you can swap to 89+ lca's and you will have a whole lot more options. They will weigh more and if you do that you might as well swap to integra trailing arms with disks. they can be had cheap and you will gain the lca's usually with them. I am not sure about the front fork swap but I believe I have hear that before. The 88 ef can use integra type r rear struts also as they both use the "craddle" and not the forks like most other hondas use in the rear.
the rear LCA from later years are 100% interchangeable to the 88 chassis. doesnt change anything other than the shock mounting.
yes, you can change out the front fork to accept the wider diameter shocks of 92+ civics.
