Default Lets talk nuts. (Beware, Ricer post inside)

Ok, Ok, I know all about never using conical lugnuts on Honda OEM wheels. I don't intend on doing that because we all know having some cool nuts isn't worth having your wheel fall off!!!

However!!!

The Ricer in me can't help but say that some anodized red lugnuts would look awesome on my JDM 16" Gunmetal wheels. So....

I've searched and searched, the only aftermarket acorn style lugnuts I've found are the Spoons, and only appear to come in gunmetal!!

Does anyone know where I can find some Acorn/Ball style Anodized Red Close Ended lugnuts to satisfy the Ricer in me?

Oh, and does anyone know specifically the size of Honda wheel studs and what nuts I should use?

I found some cheap *** red ones on Ebay but it doesn't specify if they'll work on Honda's.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1
I'd like to stick to a name brand, but I may just have to experiment with some Ebay Gheyness..

Anyway someone help me out!

Can't you just get your OEM lugnuts anodized or painted red.

Hmm.. I *suppose* I could do this, What sort of paint would hold up to this project?

If i were to do this I would take them to a shop to get them professionally anodized instead of painting them yourself. Try some local powdercoating shops.

Ali

Edit - Actually, after rethinking it, I think I would just try painting them. I've seen red anodized lug nuts fade to a pinkish color. Therefore, it might get expensive to keep having to get them anodized as opposed to just painting them yourself. But the paint might not be as durable. I don't know, ill just stop now.

Just use conical if you are hard up on it. I have seen it done numerous times and still have yet to hear a horror story about it.

Just bought.

Hey look! I get valve stems too... dunno if I'll be using those or not, haha.

And these wheel locks to go with them.

I'll let everyone know how they are once I get em on the R. All together it was $60 for the set, I'm hoping he will paypal me back a shipping discount since I bought both items at once, we'll see.

again Doostur!

If the nuts pictured are the ones you bought, they aren't ball seat. Look at the taper on the nut.

Hahaha.

Nah, we'll see when they get here, if they aren't acorn style then I will have some new lugs for the Racing Harts. No worries. But I think your right, although I sent the seller an Ebay Question and he said they are designed to be used for Honda, Acura, Toyota OEM wheels ... so we'll see.

You might get vibration in the steeringwheel if the weight of the ordinary lugnuts VS the locknuts are very different..

Happened to me....(I had 4 normal size iron lugnuts and 1 Rays alu locknut pr wheel tho.....)

EDIT: On Volk TE-37 wheels

All of this work for different color lugnuts that don't even fit properly with an OEM wheel? I just don't get it.

The ITR forum needs a reality check.
