Default 4th gen prelude question

Ok all of you prelude guru's maybe you can answer my question. Correct me if im wrong, but are all of the 4th gen preludes that have 4ws have an h23 engine? I have never seen a 4th gen h22 with 4ws. Why would honda not have made a prelude with 4ws and and h22 (the best of both worlds), other than making two prelude models, (one with and h22 non 4ws and one with 4ws non h22). If you guys know the answer let me know because i am a little curious on why honda would do that.

Because they didn't want to . I did a 4WS H22a swap a few years ago turned out great guy loves the car. You can always do your own .

I don't really see the point in even discussing this its not like anybody has a Dolorean and is gonna hit 85 MPH go back in time to 1993 and say hey MR. HONDA you should put H22's in the 4WS model that shyt would be tight y0! lol

yeah...um but it still doesnt make sense considering that honda's h23 non vtec is not geared toward performance, i apologize to all of the h23 owners

sorry man but you are WRONG

The vtec models did came with 4ws as well. I know that for sure cos i own one. A 94' JDM 4ws SiVtec LSD wich came with a traction control as stock. Believe me the 4ws+LSD is a killer combo. I don't like using the traction control when i'm driving but it saved my *** a lot of times when i wa speeding on wet

Original Retail Prices (MSRP) for 1994 Prelude lineup:
S: $ 18,450
SI: $ 21,850
4WS: $ 24,650
VTEC: $ 25,000

Estimated cost of 1994 Prelude VTEC 4WS, ~ $ 28,000. My guess is that they probably didn't think they could sell that many at that price. Look at how uncommon you find true VTECs or 4WS anyway. I think you would find far fewer VTEC 4WS.

Isn't the RSX-S like $30k?. And I'll try and dig up my dad's old window sticker. $18k for an S sounds cheaper than what I remember that sticker reading

RSX-2 goes for something like 25,000 MSRP. After TTL, you hit the 30k mark though.

Don't forget that the RSX is an Acura and those prices were from 12 years ago. I dug them up on carpoint if anyone was wondering about validity.
