I replaced the headlights on my 1997 Civic and will be doing my 1999 also because the old ones were yellowed.

The problem is the headlights are now aimed to low. Is there a way for me to properly align them? And if so what the proceedure?

Or do I have to pay the dealer to do this?

 

There should be little gear lookin things on the back of the headlights that you can aim left/right and up/down. If you search for something like "headlight alignment" there are actually a few posts laying around that people have scanned in the manual pages on how to adjust them...here's a couple links that don't have pics in them that you can probably use to get yourself started and maybe complete it.

Also, Ive turned mine 30 or so times before I saw any changes. Its tedius.
