Default Car clicks but won't turn over

I tried to start my car tonight and it wouldn't turn over. It just kinda clicked and the dash lights flickered. Is it the starter or the battery?

I had the same not long ago, and it was the battery.

lol, The ole' fashioned way..

I used to do that on my Mustang.. Heh

See if you can jump it off, and if that doesn't work, get a new battery. And if that doesn't work try the starter..
How old is your battery?

I'm not sure how old the battery is, I bought the car with it. I do know that it is a Costco battery and am thinking of replacing it with a Braille or Optima. Only problem is that I need the battery now and I don't know anywhere that carries Brailles on the shelf!

I did blow the fuse, problem is, it is a 100 amp and nobody around here carries that high!! Honda is out of that fuse until Tues too! Will a 70 work for the time being?

Would a 70a fuse work instead of the 100a?

What happened was I switched my old battery with an Optima Yellowtop and the terminals were backwards so I went positive to negative, etc. Anyway, it blew my fuse and I am wondering if anything else could have possibly been messed up?

is your car an auto or manual? if it was me i just woulda pushed started my car if it was manual

nothing else should have been messed up. thats why we have fuses. if the fuse blew then it did its job by protecting other accessories. 70a should be plenty fine to get it going for a few days. you might blow it but it should be okay.

It will work fine. Rule of thumb: If you have to use the wrong fuse, go lower amperage rating always. Never higher.

But, before you start messing with that, I'd try and find out what the hell is pulling more than 100amps from the battery, that is a fuckload of current. Check for shorts to ground and open wires.

yeah i wouldnt go higher then 100amp fuse, im not even sure where you would fine that, but if it calls for 100 i would use it....actually it has happened to me to times that when installing a battery they fuse popped idk why, not like i ground anything or shorted anything..
