If you're like me you may have had a CRX and sold it for something else. I did this in July of 2004 in Texas, more specifically in San Angelo Tx. It was a 1990 CRX Dx that had a B16a with a J1 tranny. It had an H&R full coilover suspension, full polyeurathane bushings, 16inch ACE alloy five spoke rims, and most importantly it had been sprayed flat black.
I troll the forum now a little less than I used to when I had my CRX. Every so often I wonder what happened to the little guy. I know that at the dealer that I traded the crx for my wrx, there was someone there who said they knew someone else who was interested in buying it. I beleive it was sold by the end of that week. Haven't seen it since. Anyone else have any similar stories?

I hope to never wonder that...Ive a few honda but have kept my crx since 1999. Even though I have a toddler to take care off..i refuse to sell the crx and just parked it and decided to sell the muscle car and drive the eg everyday.
i bought my firt REX in the fall of 2004 it had a little rust on it but i bought it with 82000 miles on it and only 1200 bucks. i was driving it one day and a guy said he would give me 1700 dollars right now and i took it. stupidist thing i ever done and i wonder every day what happened to it?
My wife traded her 89 Si in on a 2002 Neon R/T (yes, we know, big mistake).
About a week later our brother in law saw a guy driving down the street and stopped to talk to him. The dealership had left all of the aftermarket stuff on (including the sticker residue from her side stickers), and pretty much sold it to the guy as is for $1500. Funny, since they paid the last $600 she owed on it off AND gave her $2000 towards the Neon.
Nothing after that for awhile, until about 1 year later it turned up in the Auto Trader for $4000! I went to go check it out (we missed our little red Si) and it was a disaster. All of the body panels were dented or out of alignment, the owner had riced out the interior with Pep Boys seat covers and steering wheel covers, when the mechanic at the shop where I went to check it out pulled it out of the bay, it sounded as if the clutch and flywheel had somehow fused together...just a mess. Still, we wanted her back. I called the guy and offered him $3k cash. He laughed, and didn't say anything. I pretty much told him I knew the history of the car and knew what it was worth, no sense in being greedy. He hung up.
It stayed in the Trader for a few months, the price gradually found it's way down to $3300 and disappeared from the Trader. The last time we saw it was about 18 months ago, primered out, dropped even lower on black steels and super deluxe fart can attached, with some wild eyed white dude driving it.
I wish I could've somehow convinced the dope that ran it into the ground to give it up, but the wife is stuck on an Evo X now...so maybe I'll pick up a CR-X stablemate for my sedan someday.

I sold my first Honda for $700. Bought it for $2700 and it was my first real car. I dogged the hell out of it for 3-4 years, it changed hands in our family and finally it had to go. I see it driving around all the time and I've delivered pizzas to the house of the new owner.
Other than that the only Honda I've sold is to one of my friends and he's taking good care of it.

I know where my 1st CRX went (RIP)
My 2nd though.... bought with 62K on it, sold with 84K to some kid in Northern Michigan..... it was a very nice car, no rust, WW kit, fresh paint, minty interior..... just had a bent frame
Always wondered where it went.
I sold my 4th CRX to a Canadian, and about 3 months later he poped up on JDMU and I got to see where he'd taken my CRX.... He did a nice job!

So I'm not the only one who wished he'd kept his CRX, at least I'm not alone. I did hear stories of my car getting mis-shifted from 4th to 3rd instead of 5th and having to have the valves re-done.
My CRX was purchased used with 131, 000 km's in 2001 with a blown motor but with a mint body/interior. I've since rebuilt the engine, installed factory a/c and repaired the tranny. I almost came real close to selling my crx to some kid I worked with but ended up backing up out of the deal b/c I couldn't bring myself to selling my baby. Fortunately for me at least my Rex still sits in my garage today sitting patiently for it to get new factory matched paint in July. Strange thing is that since I've purchased the Rex all the other cars I've driven (even a Civic Type R hybrid) doesn't come close to the fun driving experience I have my Rex.
Once my Rex gets painted it will make its journey to my new garage where it will be my weekend special occasion car.
Don't EVER sell your CRXes. YOU WILL REGRET IT!

My first car I bought was a yellow '88 Si w/ 119k on it. Paid $3400 for it in ' march of '96 and ended up putting another 2k in it cause everything fell apart 2 months or so after I bought it (Rad, clutch, timing belt just to name a few
). I finally got the car in good working order and even put quite a bit of money in it in upgrades (I was rocking 5-ways and GC coilovers even back then!)
I even had a WW kit on it but the motor was pretty much on it's way out @190k of HARD driving and pizza delivery (even w/ the kit on!). It ended up needing more work than I knew how to do or could pay somebody for back then cause that's before I really knew anything about motor swaps and how easy they were. So in '99 when I had my Civic EX for a few months I sold the REX for $2500 just to get rid of it and have some money to spend on my New EG coupe.
Of course I regret that decision so much nowadays since I have the ability to fix what was wrong back then(too many things too list). I did look up the carfax report on it last year since I came across a reciept that had the VIN on it. Damn thing ended up in Washington state!! not really sure how but I guess I really will never see that one again. Too bad because I would have been very interested in seeing it or even buying it again.....oh well.
Even got a pic of it still (miss that car soo much, soo many memories)

My first CRX was a 1990 SI that I bought in late '04 for $2700. I started off with my first car being a '93 Ford Ranger that I sold after looking for 3 months for a decent crx si which I found from a guy in VA. I met him as he was going to Myrtle Beach at a waffle house at 3:30 AM. It had 108k miles on it and I drove it to 140k until I totalled it on I-40 coming back home from my girlfriend's house 2 hrs away in a slight ice storm.
I searched for 3 weeks for another one, to no luck and about bought a '95 probe GT
. Luckily the guy couldn't sell the probe right then. I came home and was pissed off until my girlfriend told me to send her some pics of an '89 CRX si that I couldn't open but she wanted to try. I'd had the pics for about a week. And to my surpise!! it was newly pained with a well done tint job, nice wheels, catback exhaust (not a fart can) and I offered the guy $2600 in hard cash that day. Drove abotu 45 minutes, loved the car the sec I saw it and drove it home that evening. And I've actually had this car only 2 weeeks, so it's pretty recent that I totalled my '90.
It's weird how things work out.

my first crx, an 88 si, in the cursed yellow. I bought it with some front end damage for $650 about 10 years ago, tried my best to fix it. ended up selling it for $1800 to a friend of a friend. he ran it into the ground, and I bought it back on its last leg for $500. I fixed it up again.
then I bought a worn out 91 integra ls, and traded that car and the crx for a wrecked 94 GSR.
the guy I traded them to took the motor out of the integra, rebuilt it, and put it in the crx. soon afterwards, while driving home drunk, he flipped it.
He called me up and told me, and asked if I wanted any parts off of it. as I was pulling the remains apart, I remembered when I bought parts of this great new site called ebay, and all the time I had spent on the car. it was kinda sad.
I've owned 7 more crx's since then, and #8 is going to be here next weekend.

F-ING IDIOTS!!
I bought mine new in 1991 when I graduated high school
and I will never sell it. Its the baby of the family, I have a wife and
four kids, and Ive kept it this long....Its gonna stay.
to all of the people who sold their CRX!I bought my first CRX in '95 (a 90 DX)and sold it a few months ago...this is what it looked like when I sold it:

Somewhere between now and then I bought an '87 CRX Si. An absolute blast to drive...too bad it was rotten. Drove it for a few months, then once I was tired of the wet feet and permanantly fogged up windows, I sold it to some young guy. HOPEFULLY, that car has been crushed by now as it was unsafe when I was driving it years ago.
I sold my 90 DX to get this car, my new baby. I think I would have to be smoking massive amounts of crack to ever sell this car:

Well hey I agree and regret it all the time. But fate is a funny thing because I now have 3 CRXs , My '89 DX (purchased last April) is gonna be my baby cause it's never been wreced and I'm the 2nd owner. The only way I'm gettin rid of this one is if I'm car jacked (God I hope I did not just jinx myself).
I think I may even be buried in, j/k..............well maybe not?
