I just wanted to let all of you guys know that this weekend at Atlanta Dragway (notrth of Atlanta in Commerce, GA) there will be a HUGE Import-Only weekend.

It will be much like a Fun Ford or F-Body weekend, but rather than those cars this is all about imports.

There will be a ton of Hondas out there for the drag races, dyno runs, and car show, so if you can make the trip I suggest that you do because it will be bad-***.

I thought that I read somewhere on H-T there would be an H-T meet in Atlanta on Saturday anyways, so I figured what better place to meet than an already huge event such as this?

Here's the details about the weekend:

Drag Challenge:

7 classes of competition:

Stock
14.5 and slower (probably lots of cars in this one - should be interesting)
Motor Swap ( my own class I suppose)
Street car with 1 power adder (turbo, nitrous, supercharger)
Street car with 2 power adders (boost+nitrous, etc.)
Pro Class
X-Treme Class - if applicable

Qualifying will be held on Saturday and on Saturday you can basically run for fun all day long. Fun runs will be counted as qualifying runs if you intend on competing for real on Sunday.

$20.00 gets you into the whole event and allows you to drag all day!

Car Show:

20 classes of competition. Mild to wild, and open to all sport compacts. Expect everything from "JDM ******" to crazy-*** all-out show cars to clean-swapped cars.

Entries accepted on Saturday all day and early on Sunday - judging and trophies on Sunday afternoon.

Dyno Wars:

There will be a 2-wheel and 4-wheel!!! dyno on hand for dyno pulls. There will also be a dyno competition with classes:

All-motor
Nitrous-injected
Supercharged
Turbo

There will also be many different vendors/shops on hand from the southeast. The shop that I work at will be there with a few cars in the "booth" including my own hatchback. We will also have about 5 sets of the infamous Rotas on hand.

2 sets of Circuit 8's - one Silver, one new Steel Grey (ITR-like gunmetal).
2 sets of Slipstreams - one Silver, one Bronze
1 set of SubZeros - new Steel Grey (again, like the ITR gunmetal)

I plan on running for fun in the drag thing and maybe even entering the car show in the "clean class" if they have one

The whole weekend should be fun, and this will be a great opportunity to have some fun or settle some grudges you might have with other "enthusiasts" by taking it to the track.
