Time for a new catalytic converter, can someone point me in the right direction?
I have a completely stock ITR exhaust system and its time for a new cat because of a thrown check engine light.
What is the most cost effective way to replace the stock cat? What size of a cat should I go with? and how much is installation usually?
BTW: I threw a CEL 67, and as recommended by other HT members, I need a new cat.

How do you know the CEL means you need a new cat? What code did you get?
I would find out exactly what is wrong first.

I threw a CEL 67, basically I need a new cat as recommended by the majority of people here on honda-tech.
Well I got a letter in the mail few months ago from acura for my 97 gsr, and they told me if I had a CEL come on for a catalytic, to bring it to the dealer and they would replace it, something about it being a defective unit. I don't know if this applies to ITR, but its worth a shot to call an acura dealer if everything is still stock.
