THe plastic peice under my bumper ripped off at around 130mph. And the next day i hydrolocked my h22a. Finally reordered another motor, what is that plastic peice called under the bumper, spashgaurd?

i went there and saw the long list of bumper/related parts, but i'm not sure what that plastic peice is that stops water from getting up into the engine bay.?

i dont even have one on my car, i dont think its a necessity. i dont even have fender liners actually, i would like to have them tho, haha bought my lude wrecked and then restored

 

I HIGHLY doubt that not haveing that made you hydrolock. If there is that much water that peice probably wasn't going to help

 

I dont run with one either. I don't see how now having a splash shield/guard would cause hydrolock.

But running without fender liners would definitely up your chances.
